Patreon has announced an update of its prices, consolidating its professional and premium plans in a single offer from August 5. The new plan will take 10% of creators’ benefits, rather than the eight percent of current for pro and 12% for premium users. This will mean an increase in prices for many new users, although existing users will not see any increase, and no one who does not register before the change takes effect. And to access all the features of the old premium level, you will need an additional module which sets a three -hundred supplement on the default socket.
Currently, the PREMIME PLUS PLAN PLANE DE PATREON adds access to coaching and support staff, team accounts and goods options. From August, all these features, except that Merch will be rolled in the new standard planset at 10% of creators’ benefits on the platform. There will be an optional additional module for Merch, which will add three percent to your overall rate, so in fact, there are still two plans available. As before, paying treatment, conversion of currencies and payment fees will always be.
The creators of Patreon existing on the professional level will continue to pay eight percent, just like anyone who will launch a professional creator page no later than August 4. The PRO plan will be upgraded to include all the same features as the new standard plan.
Creators currently on the premium rate of 12% will in fact save money, migrating to a rate of 11% which includes all their current features. They will have the possibility of removing the complementary module of Merch and going to a rate of 8%, corresponding to the users of Legacy Pro.
The last update of Patreon prices was to sunset its level of five percent lite in 2023; Pro and premium prices were Back in 2019. Explaining the increase of this year, Patreon affirms in a press release that since 2019, he “extended beyond payments to include media accommodation, the community and discovery” and that the increased prices are in the name of “continuing to invest in the creators of platforms that build their activities”.
Later this summer, Patreon will also update the prices of the video, which remains in early access despite Launch in 2022. Patreon’s video tools were launched with 500 hours of free life for creators, who were then reduced to 100 hours, but soon eligible creators will rather receive 100 hours of free video per month.
