The double Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova announced her professional tennis retirement, the US Open being her last tournament.
The Czech left -hander was the first player born in the 1990s to win a Grand Chelem title when she beat Maria Sharapova in the 2011 final.
Kvitova then recovered the rose dish from Rose Venus in 2014 – Beating Eugenie Bouchard Canadian for the loss of only three games.
