After welcoming President Trump in Anchorage as his “dear neighbor”, Russian President Vladimir Putin opened the evening press conference saying that their agreement “outraged the way to peace in Ukraine”. He said that a permanent agreement will need to treat the profound causes of the conflict and agreed with Trump that Ukraine’s security should be assured.
