Real Madrid: FIFA investigates alleged racist abuses towards Antonio Rudiger, known as Xabi Alonso | Football news

Antonio Rudiger was allegedly abused during the victory of the Real Madrid World Cup on the Mexican side Pachuca on Sunday, said manager Xabi Alonso.

Alonso confirmed that a complaint had been filed after an incident towards the end of the 3-1 victory of the Spanish giants in Charlotte.

Rudiger faced himself with Captain of Pachuca Gustavo Cabral in injury, but it was not clear if the alleged abuse came from a player or a person in the crowd.

“This is what Rudiger said, and we believe it,” Alonso told journalists at his post-match press conference. “It is important to have zero tolerance in these kinds of situations. FIFA is investigating now. That’s all I can say.”

FIFA, the organizer of the director world and the tournament, did not comment, but the Ramon Abatti referee had crossed his arms in front of his chest, which signals the activation of the anti-racism protocol.

Real had shrugged from the dismissal at the start of Raul Asencio to win a victory that brought them to the top of group H.

Jude Bellingham was on the target while Real Madrid of 10 men beat Pachuca 3-1 at the Club World Cup in the United States.

Asencio was dismissed in the seventh minute for closing Solomon Rondon – another blow for the Alonso team with striker Kylian Mbappe missing through the disease.

But after having absorbed a period of pressure, Real broke the dead end through Jude Bellingham in the 35th minute before Anda Guller doubles the advance.

Federico Valverde stolen in third parties with 20 minutes to play before Mexicans took on late consolation thanks to the deflected effort of Elias Montiel.

It was the first victory of the Real tournament and took them at four points with Red Bull Salzburg, who played a virgin draw with Al Hilal in Washington DC.

Real plays Salzburg in their last match of the first stage Thursday evening (2 am UK) but, with Al Hilal just two points behind, the group is large open.
