The mediator posted a change of devastating equipment to exhaust a brilliant winner of the challenges of the Prince of Wales in Royal Ascot.
A success on each of its first four departures last season, including a victory for group three in France, John and Thady Gosden of Colt met the defeat for the first time in second place in Almaqam during his return to action in the brigadier last month, Gerard in Sandown.
The four-year-old belonging to Godolphin faced a new hike in class for this group of one group, but after being installed well of the very early rhythm of William Buick, he hired Overdrive once in the light mid-term back and easily chose the Anmaat Galant to win by two lengths.
See the fire was third, two other and a half lengths behind the winner of 7/1.
Gosden Senior said: “It is a special horse and it is just a question of an owner who gives you time to let them mature and go there.
“He has a footing and he (Buick) knew it, it was a question of going out, but I noticed when he finally had the light of the day, there was a furlon to go.”
He continued: “This is a question, when you arrive at the straight line, that you are lucky. He was not in a position where he could swing around the field, it was more a case of waiting for the gap.
“He was very patient. I knew that when there was a gap at the Furtlong pole, this horse has an extraordinary foot – it was patient and it was rewarded.
“When we bought it, he was an immature horse, he did not run at the age of two and three years, we brought him, then the row. It is a horse which is now properly cultivated and developed at the age of four.
“It is a horse of Mile and a quarter, it has a wonderful lap as you have seen and I think that we will play this strength. As far as I’m concerned, he did nothing but grow up in stature.
“It is a horse which, because it has not shaved too much this year, it could be a horse that you could watch the eclipse.
“It would not be my choice (to run it against the golden field).”
Thady Gosden added: “When William found a gap, he asked him to cross him and he was very fast.
“The eclipse looks like the natural stage to take. It was a high-level field today, it was the most elite field of the week as it is often and he showed what he was capable there.
“It was not a huge area but it was highly elite, as you can imagine at this meeting. It certainly went well.”
Buick was significantly jubilant on the line of line, after an opening day which had seen high -level setbacks for notable speeches and a court in power.
He said: “This place learns lions. It’s so special to win here because it’s so difficult, everyone is in shape here and everyone is doing their best of course.
“They made a hard gallop. I was always going to have to ride for a little luck and he accelerated instantly. I thought he was impressive.
“I think it was a taste of what will happen. He has low kilometers on the clock, it’s an exciting horse.”
My cloud went up the lateral rail to justify the favoritism of the Royal Hunt Cup.
Roger Varian’s accusation was sent from the market leader 3/1 for one of the highlights of the week and was assembled with great confidence by Silvestre de Sousa.
The field of 30 people was divided into three groups and while my cloud was clearly in front of its side of the track, Bullet Point did it near the other side, with the favorite border in front of 11/1 second by three quarters of length, with Bopedro taking third at 50/1.
