Politics and diplomacy
- US President Donald Trump said he had a “good meeting” with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European White House leaders on Monday.
- Trump said the leaders had discussed security guarantees that would be provided to Ukraine by European countries in “coordination with” the United States.
- Zelenskyy said that participation in the United States in security guarantees was “a step forward”, and that details would be “formalized on paper in next week at 10 days”.
- Zelenskyy also told journalists that his country had offered to buy $ 90 billion in American weapons.
- Finland President Alexander Stubb said that the security guarantees discussed were similar to type 5 guarantees offered to NATO members, but that details were to be repelled.
- An assistant from the Kremlin said Trump had spoken with Putin on the phone for 40 minutes after meeting Zelenskyy and European leaders, and that the two leaders discussed the possibility of increasing the level of Russian and Ukrainian representatives during talks.

Struggle
- Ukrainian authorities said Russian attacks before the talks killed 14 people across the country. This includes a drone attack on a building in Kharkiv which killed at least seven people. Thirty others were injured.
- Monday’s victims also included three people killed in a ballistic missile strike in the southeast city of Zaporizhzhia, the regional governor said, adding that 23 others had been injured.
- The Air Force of Ukraine said that Russia had launched a total of four ISKANDER-M ballistic missiles and 140 Shahed and lure drones across Ukraine during the night, including 88 drones were slaughtered or blocked.
- In Russia, the fall in debris of a Ukrainian drone shot down by the Russian forces sparked fires in a hospital building and on the land of an oil refinery, south of the city of Volgograd, said regional governor Andrei Bocharov in a post on Telegram.
- The Russian forces destroyed 141 Ukrainian drones and four guided air bombs during a 24 -hour period, the state’s news agency managed by the State, quoting the Russia Ministry of Russia said on Monday.
