Spotify adds gender checks to Discover Weekly

Spotify’s Discover Weekly famous for 10 years of being a very OK feature. To celebrate the milestone, Spotify gives Discover Weekly a complete refreshmentallowing you to choose between five genres for the playlist.

The option will appear at the top of your reading list and will provide songs according to your listening history. The Playlist of 30 tracks will update accordingly. There are also visual changes, with Spotify Distant: “The new dynamic design of the playlist reflects its constantly evolving nature and the dynamic energy of the weekly discovery.” Spotify claims that Discover Weekly has led to more than 100 billion tracks broadcast. He also notes that users find more than 56 million artists each week – 77% of whom are emerging artists.

These updates will initially be available for simply Spotify Premium Users, although the platform plans to extend it more widely. Genres will start to be available on Discover Weekly today, moving on mobile accounts in the coming weeks.
