Speakman confirms the transfer discussions with the targets of Sunderland
As reported by northern echo, Speakman confirmed that he had personally been in three different countries this week to speak with targets and their agents.
“Our goal has never been to go to the Premier League. It is such a benchmark and naturally everyone talks about it, but internally during the two, three, four years, it is always a question of restoring us.
“So what we have to do now is to go to the next part of this trip, and think about establishing ourselves in the next three or four years (at the level of the Premier League) and, hopefully, to build to the point where it can be involved up of the league, which is ultimately where we all want to be.
“We are trying to recruit players for that. I spent the last three days in three different countries, speaking with players and agents. I rejected (in England) around 2 am last night, so behind the scenes is operational and it has passed for several weeks.”
Although he does not say with what he talked about the players, the Ukrainian striker of Scott Wilson of the Northern Echo checked the Ukrainian name Vladyslav Vanat, the defender of Monaco Wilfried Singo and Lauriente as targets for Sunderland.
Vanat is currently at the U21 European Championships after scoring 21 goals and recorded nine assists for Dynamo Kyiv in all competitions last season.
The 23 -year -old could be the one with which Speakman had discussions, but by the appearance of things, transfer cases could soon accelerate on Wearside after this update of the leader of Sunderland.
