T-Mobile’s satellite service officially launches in July

When it is posted next month, “T-Satellite” will be available as a service included with Just a T-Mobile plan – Experience beyond – and will cost otherwise $ 10 per month. Like the beta service, it will be available for everyone in the United States, not just T-Mobile customers.

When launching, T-Satellite will only include SMS on Android and iOS, as well as MMS on Android. T-Mobile says that MMS on iOS is “to follow”. And on October 1, its satellite connectivity will obtain another upgrade: the data.

But don’t expect to be able to use each application on your phone in a dead area for the moment. The company has a handful of application manufacturers which it “provides” will allow the connectivity of satellite data, including Alltrails, Accuweather and WhatsApp. The announcement also appoints Apple and Google as a partners, but does not list the specific applications of one or the other of the companies.

Verizon and At & T having disputed With T-Mobile and Starlink’s parent company, SpaceX, saying that its satellite implementation will hinder its efforts. It does not seem that these complaints have slowed down the star bond and the T-Mobile.
