Innovative Televangelist Jimmy SwaggartOne of the first preachers to bring his ministry to a massive television audience, died in Louisiana after being hospitalized for two weeks, A family representative said Tuesday.
He was 90 years old.
“Today, our hearts are heavy while we share that brother Swaggart has finished his earthly race and came in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ”, according to a statement published on his Facebook page.
“He met his beloved savior and entered the glory portals. At the same time, we are delighted to know that we will see him again.”
Swaggart was taken to hospital on June 15 after having been arrested cardiac, His family said.
