It seemed to be forever that Arsenal had been far from Champions League Before their return to competition in 2023, allowing them to make more memories in the famous competition.

From pressing through the group stages to the final in dramatic circumstances, the Northern Londoners have had many memorable moments under the lights since their beginning in 1998.

2005/06: Arsenal 2-1 FC Thun

Bergkamp saves Arsenal late

The FC Thun of the Champions League, Thun, exercised its trade in non-Ligue eight years before this match and was to be returned with ease. But it was certainly not unrolled like that.

Arsenal had to play with 10 men for a large part of the match after Robin Van Persie received a straight red card for caught Alen Orman in the face with his boot.

The Gunners found themselves frustrated by the Swiss outfit and seemed to go to a shock print before Dennis Bergkamp hit the house a dramatic winner in time of time to spare the blushes of his team.

2000/01: Arsenal 2-1 Valence

Downs Valencia living room screen

Arsenal returned from 1-0 against the Liga Giants Valence to win a 2-1 victory in the quarter-final of the Champions League.

Thierry Henry leveled the scoring in the 58th minute before Ray Parlour made a thunderous strike at a distance two minutes later to advance the Northern Londoners.

Unfortunately, the second floor saw the Spanish team advance on the goals after winning 1-0 at Mestalla.

Valencia continued to reach the final before undergoing a heartbreaking defeat against Bayern Munich in sanctions.

2003/04: Arsenal 1-0 Dynamo Kyiv

Ashley Cole keeps the artillerymen alive

Bonfire Night in 2003 produced an electrifying atmosphere in Highbury after Ashley Cole won a winner of the 88th minute to win a 1-0 victory against Dynamo Kyiv.

The very important result maintained the dreams of the Arsenal Champions League afloat when they have won their last two group games to qualify for the direct elimination stages of the competition.

The Gunners reached the quarter-finals before undergoing a total defeat of 3-2 against the competitors of London Chelsea.

2005/06: Arsenal 1-0 Villarreal

Highbury is goodby

Kolo Toure’s strike in the first half was sufficient to seal a 1-0 victory against Villarreal in the semi-final of the Champions League, in a match that saw a squirrel invading the field of the game.

It was also the last European match of Arsenal in Highbury, so victory was an appropriate farewell at the historic stadium.

Wenger’s men continued to reach the Champions League final after keeping the Spaniards in a relentless draw in the return match in El Madrigal.

2002/03: PSV 0-4 Arsenal

Gilberto and Arsenal Thrash PSV

Arsenal won a 4-0 outside victory against the PSV in the group phases of the 2002/03 competition. Gilberto Silva broke the fastest goal record in the Champions League after scoring in 21 seconds.

Thierry Henry scored a late splint and Freddie Ljungberg also ended up on the match sheet to finish the demolition position in the Netherlands.

Dennis Bergkamp also played in his first European game outside in two years.

2013/14: Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

Mesut Özil really arrives

Summer 2013 saw Arsenal erase its transfer record to sign the Real Madrid Mesut Özil playmaker for 42.4 million pounds Sterling.

The German’s first goal at Arsenal Colors came during his opening match of the Champions League against Napoli while he beautifully caressed a parallel effort just inside the box.

2024/25: PSV 1-7 arsenal

The artillerymen enjoy another good night in Eindhoven

The placement of Arsenal in the group phase of the Reworked Champions League meant equality in the last 16th row against the PSV, which had beaten Liverpool and Juventus on the way to seal their own stadium berth with direct elimination.

But those who hoped for a tight match were quickly disappointed because the Gunners got out of the blocks to lead 3-0 in 31 minutes.

Arsenal did not remove the foot of the gas in the second half, putting four others after their opponents to make the second stage a formality. It was their greatest victory outside in the Champions League.

2001/02: Arsenal 4-1 Bayer Leverkusen

Possible finalists played out of the park

Arsenal played the future Bayer Leverkusen finalists off the park while the French trio of Robert Pires, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira all put themselves on the match sheet.

But it was the Dutchman Bergkamp who scored the choice of goals while turning his man on the edge of the area and stung the ball on the ass of Hans-Jörg defense.

Despite a dazzling exhibition by the Gunners, they were abandoned from the competition in the second group phase after finishing third.

2007/08: Arsenal 7-0 Slavia Prague

The artillerymen activate the style against Slavs

Wenger’s men completely dominated their Czech adversaries while recording the greatest victory in the club’s champions league. The fluidity of the play was a joy to look at, and some of the goals scored were out of this world.

The Gunners arrived second behind Seville in their group that year and reached the last eight of the competition before undergoing a global defeat of 5-3 against Liverpool. A cruel outing for Northern Londoners.

2005/06: Arsenal 0-0 Real Madrid

The artillerymen keep real in Highbury to fill the epic victory

After sealing a 1-0 historic victory at Santiago Bernabeu, Arsenal had to repel Real Madrid again on their own patch to seal a quarter-final in 2006.

In an equal game, the Gunners held again against their imagined opponents, with Thierry Henry Mesmeric as never that the team of Arsène Wenger held.

Madrid got closer when Raul was extraordinarily denied by Jens Lehmann with the goal of his mercy.
