The EU puts repair rating labels on phones and tablets in June


The EU will force which indicate how repairable the device is. These labels will also include ratings of energy efficiency and sustainability. They will start to appear on devices on June 20 and will be similar to those pre -existing for household appliances and televisions.

The labels display an energy efficiency note of a product on a scale from A to G and also display the battery life and the number of load cycles available. There will be classes of letters for sustainability and repairability, in addition to an IP note for dust and water resistance.
