Pelicot, 72, was appointed knight of the Legion of Honor on a list announced before the national day of July 14 of France, the AFP news agency reported on Sunday.
It was part of 589 people appointed for honor, which recognizes the national service based on merit.
Pelicot refused to remain anonymous and was published publicly during a trial in 2024 against her former husbandDominique Pelicot, who drugged her and arranged her so that she was raped by dozens of men for a decade.
