The German data protection manager wants Apple, Google deletes Deepseek from the country’s application stores

A German data protection manager reported that the Chinese AIPSEEK AIP application in Apple and Google, saying that the application illegally transfers user information to China.

Meike Kamp, Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, said companies that Deepseek had not provided “convincing evidence” that user data was protected as required by EU laws.

Kamp said his office asked Deepseek to comply with EU laws for transferring data outside the block or withdrawing his application from the country, but the Chinese company did not do so.
