The Iranian state media describe confrontation as “tense”, while the US military says that the meeting was “professional”.
Iran said it had warned an American navy destroyer to change course by approaching Iranian territorial waters in the Gulf of Oman, but the United States said that the confrontation was “professional” and had “no impact” on its naval mission.
