A high school student was accused of murder after Frisco, Texas, police said he Fatally stabbed another student During a confrontation during a track meeting on Wednesday morning.
The police said that they had been called to the Kuykendall stadium in the independent school district of Frisco around 10 a.m. after a 17 -year -old stabbed a 16 -year -old in a confrontation.
“Despite the rescue measures for the police and firefighters, including the RCR and the blood administration, the 16-year-old victim died,” police said the police on Wednesday afternoon.
Jeff Metcalf said his son Austin Metcalf was killed when another student armed with a knife had been upset after being said he was in the wrong place.
Metcalf said that his son did not know the student who attacked him and that Austin’s twin brother, Hunter, was nearby when the confrontation took place and not only saw his brother stabbed but tried to stop the bleeding.
“They were twins, identical twins, and his brother held him, trying to have stopped bleeding, and he died in his brother’s arms,” said Metcalf. “I rushed up there and I saw him on the Gurney and I could say it – they said he did not breathe. I could see all of the blood, and I saw where the injury was, and I was very worried, so I had to find his brother, and we rushed to the hospital. And we prayed, and it was the plan of God, but they didn’t know it.
Metcalf said his son had a 4.0 GPA was MVP of the football team and had a bright future that understood to go to university.
“He was on the right track,” said Metcalf. “He was loved by a lot. He was a leader. “
“I am not trying to judge, but what kind of parents had this child? What did he taught? He brought a knife to a meeting on track and he murdered my son by stabbing him in the heart. The guy was in the wrong place and they asked him to move and he lost. It was murder,” said Metcalf.
“You know what, I already forgive this person,” he added. “Already. God takes care of things. God will take care of me. God will take care of my family.”
Frisco police said they had arrested and charged a 17 -year -old from Metcalf’s murder. The police said that the suspect’s surety had not yet been set and that it is not clear if he had obtained a lawyer to speak on his behalf.
“The Frisco police service mourns all the people affected by this devastating loss and exercises its biggest condolences to the family, students and the victim staff who experience unimaginable pain,” the department said on Wednesday afternoon. “The department collaborates with the Frisco Independent School District and will continue to provide any support they need during this incredibly difficult period.”
The police did not say where the stabbing took place at the stadium, but several police officers were seen investigating in an area in the stands not far from the track.
A spokesperson for Frisco ISD said that the competition on the 11-5A championship district, which included more than 100 eight school students, had taken place at the stadium on Wednesday morning. The district said that a few moments after stabbing, the stadium was immediately assured, the competition was suspended and that all the students were returned to their “opportunity” campuses.
No other injury has been reported.
Frisco police said the investigation was underway.
