Fort Lauderdale, Florida – The Stanley Cup is a little struck, thanks to the celebration of consecutive titles by the Florida Panthers.
The bowl of the famous trophy is cracked and the bottom is bumpy. Not for the first time and probably not the last.
THE Panthers won their second consecutive championship On the ice at home on Tuesday evening, beating Edmonton in six games. The team, after decades of tradition, celebrated with the cup in the short hours and kept the festivities in Fort Lauderdale well in Wednesday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the renowned hockey temple said the Cup guards took the appropriate measures and plan to have him repaired by the celebrations parade on Sunday. Made of nickel silver and alloy, the cup of 37 pounds is relatively malleable.
The damage is nothing new for the 131 -year -old silver chalice that was overwhelmed in the Piscines and the Atlantic Ocean and poorly managed by players, coaches and staff for more than a century.
Just this decade alone, Tampa Bay’s lightning dropped the cup during their boat parade in 2021 and the Colorado avalanche bossed it on the ice at the night when they won the following year.
