The Uber and Waymo Commercial Robotaxi Service is open to business in Atlanta

Waymo Robotaxis can now be praised in Atlanta via Uber. The two companies, which already offer the “Waymo on Uber” service in Austin, said the sales department on Tuesday, the sales department will initially cover around 65 square miles in Atlanta.

This structure differs from other markets where Waymo works. In these cities, riders use the Waymo One application to greet Robotaxis.

When an Uber user is informed that he has been twinned with a waymo, he can choose to accept or go to a man -oriented driving. Once the Robotaxi arrives, the runners will use the Uber app to unlock the vehicle, open the trunk and start the trip.

The Robotaxi rides will cost the same number as a Uberx, Uber Comfort or Uber Comfort Electric led by a human, have said companies.

The “Waymo on Uber” service shares the responsibilities of owning and operating a fleet of driver -free vehicles. Uber manages the load, maintenance and cleaning of autonomous vehicles, as well as management of access to robotaxy via its application.
