The United States adds Openai, Google and Anthropic for the list of AI suppliers approved for federal agencies

The US government has added Google, Openai and Anthropic to a list of approved suppliers who can offer artificial intelligence services to civilian civil agencies, Bloomberg reports.

Companies will see their AI tools offered via a new federal contract platform, the multiple reward calendar (MAS), which would allow government agencies to access AI tool providers with pre-negotiated contracts, rather than negotiating with suppliers individually.

Bloomberg reports that the General Services Administration (GSA), which is in charge of the MAS, said that technological companies had been evaluated for safety and performance.
