Three hikers found dead after jumping in the California waterfall

The authorities of northern California have recovered the bodies of three hikers who died after jumping in a waterfall in a distant area near Lake Tahoe.

The County Sheriff’s Office to place announced the recovery on Sunday.

The three men were part of a group of six who hiked last Wednesday in the Soda Springs region, about 30 miles west of North Lake Tahoe, the Sheriff’s office said in a statement.

Three of the men jumped into the water in an area known as Falls in Rattlesnake and did not resurface, said the sheriff’s office. The sheriff’s office was alerted from a possible triple drowning shortly before 3 p.m.

The sheriff’s office responded by a diving team which was transported by plane in the region via the helicopter, according to the press release. The remaining three hikers were transported by plane on Wednesday evening, said the sheriff’s office, noting the difficult land of the region.
