Trump says the Ukraine Zelenskyy could end the war “almost immediately” | Russia-Ukraine War News

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, increased pressure on Ukraine to accept an agreement to put an end to the Russian war, saying that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy could choose to end the conflict “almost immediately”.

Addressing Zelenskyy one day before his visit to high issues at the White House on Monday, Trump warned that the return of Crimea occupied by Russia and Ukrainian membership in NATO would be out of the table in any negotiated regulations.

“President Zelenskyy of Ukraine can end the war with Russia almost immediately, if he wants, or he can continue to fight,” said Trump on his Truth social platform on Sunday.

“Remember how it started. No Obama recovery gave Crimea (12 years ago, without the shot being fired!), And not to enter NATO through Ukraine. Some things never change !!!”

Trump’s comments came when European leaders had to accompany Zelenskyy during his visit to Washington, DC on Monday in the midst of concerns in Brussels and kyiv that the American president could sign an overly favorable agreement to the Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Speaking shortly after Trump’s comments on Sunday, Zelenskyy said that previous concessions in Moscow, including Crimea, had only in the Putin to wage more war.

“We all share a strong desire to end this war quickly and reliably. And peace must last,” said Zelenskyy in an article on X.
