Pakistan says that India missile attacks on six sites killed at least eight people and injured over 35 years.
Just after midnight Wednesday, the army of India spear Operation Sindoor, striking nine sites which he described as a “terrorist infrastructure” in Pakistan and the cashmere administered by Pakistan.
The armed forces of Pakistan said that the soldiers of India have attacked six different places in Pakistan and the cashmere administered in Pakistan, launching 24 strikes, killing at least eight people and injuring more than 35.
The targeted locations in the attacks include:
At the cashmere administered by Pakistan, two locations were also affected:
Pakistani officials claim that their forces have also shot down five Indian war planes. India did not immediately comment.
The Indian army says that Pakistani artillery fires killed at least three people in cashmere administered by the Indians.
Located in the northwest of the Indian subcontinent, the cashmere is at a high altitude, a large part of the region amounting to more than 1,500 meters (4,900 feet) above sea level. It covers an area of 222,200 square kilometers (85,800 square miles).
The population is extremely Muslim, with around four million people living in cashmere administered by Pakistan and around 13 million in the Jammu and the cashmere administered by the Indians.
The de facto border which divides the cashmere administered by Pakistan and the cashmere administered by the Indians is known as the control line (LOC). The line initially marked the military front when the two countries declared a cease-fire in January 1949 after their first war against cashmere. He was officially appointed LOC under the 1972 SIMLA Agreement, signed after the 1971 War which led to the creation of Bangladesh.
India, Pakistan and China each demand parts cashmere.
Pakistan controls the parts of the North and West, namely Gilgit and Baltistan and what Pakistan calls the Azad Cashmere or the “Free Kashmir”. India controls the southeast and southeast parts, including the cashmere valley and its largest city, Srinagar, as well as Jammu and Ladakh.
Pakistan calls cashmere administered by the Indians “cashmere occupied by the Indians”. India makes favor – it calls cashmere administered by Pakistan “cashmere occupied by Pakistan”.
On April 22, armed men opened fire on a group of tourists at the cashmere administered by the Indians, murder 26 men in one of the deadliest attacks against tourists for decades.
The attack occurred in the Prairie de Baisaran, in Pahalgam, a well-known tourist destination located 50 km (32 miles) in the south-east of the regional summer capital, Srinagar.
THE Resistance front (TRF)An little-known armed group, which insists on India is an indirect indicator of Pakistan Lashkar-E-Taiba, claimed the responsibility of the attack.
India has suggested that it thinks that Pakistan may have indirectly supported Pahalgam’s attack – an assertion that Pakistan is denying firmly.
Before Wednesday’s attacks, the two countries had engaged in diplomatic scales of tit-for-tate on each other, in particular by canceling visas for citizens from each other, recalling diplomatic staff and closing the airspace to the carriers of the other.
