Being a football manager is brutal and, at the upper level, the level of control and the pressure to perform is even larger.

The departure of Ivan Juric Amended an unfortunate passage to St Mary’s to an abrupt end, but how do its gaps accumulate against the worst that the Premier League has ever seen?

Here are the worst Premier League managers based on points won by match. Some of these managers have proven or even bought in other high-level clubs, but there is no exhaust for these horror meetings.

For this list, only permanent managers who were in charge for at least four games are included.

Daniel Awake (Norwich City)

0.53 points per game

Daniel Farke has not yet excelled in the Premier League, despite Norwich City promoted twice from the championship.

Through his 49 high -flight games in charge – covering three seasons following relegation in 2019/20 – the German only supervised six victories, which included a shock against Manchester City of the time in September 2019.

He left the club in November 2021, strangely shortly after winning a first victory in the campaign.

Roy Hodgson (Watford)

0.50 points per game

Roy Hodgson has had a sparkling management career, but after having made an unexpected return to football with WatfordHis attempt to save them from relegation could not have been much worse.

He only managed two victories in 18 games with Vicanage Road, and the Hornets were ironically relegated following a defeat at the old – and future – Hodgson, Hodgson, club Crystal Palace.

This will not decrease his stature as one of the greats of the management, but few people have made worse than the former boss of England during this ruthless fate.

Alan Pardew (West Brom)

0.44 points per game

Alan Pardew was a very experienced manager of the Premier League, then entering West BromHe had to support himself to turn the sick fortunes of the club.

In the end, a victory and eight consecutive defeats in the Premier League were its loss, with only eight points from 54 possible.

West Brom was finally relegated without Pardew in the canoe, and the manager’s career has been discreet since.

Billy Davies (Derby)

The only comfort of the Scottish is perhaps that even his successor – who appears below – has not been able to get out of the team either.

Nathan Jones (Southampton)

After imposing on Luton Town, Nathan Jones obtained his big break when Southampton came after the dismissal of Ralph Hasenhuttl in November 2022.

But Jones and its unpredictable methods I saw his mandate for only eight Premier League games, the saints only succeeded only one victory over Everton at that time.

With 0.38 points per match, he comfortably had one of the worst records in the history of the Premier League.

Jan Swered (Hisdersfield)

0.33 points per game

Paul Jewell had worked on the magic of survival in the past, leading Bradford City and Wigan Athletic for the salvation of relegation.

But after being called by Derby in November 2007, this magic was exhausted. Zero victories, five draws and 19 defeats gave Jewell one of the worst management records of a single spell.

The Rams were relegated to the transport of the lowest points in the history of the Premier League, although at the time of the editorial staff, Southampton can still overshadow.

Boer Frank (Crystal Palace)

The appointment of Frank de Boer to Crystal Palace will have to become an absolute failure.

His horror spell in Selhurst Park has brought no goal, no point and 77 days of misery. Bar a 2-1 victory on Ipswich Town in the League Cup, it was a completely useless business.

We will never know how much he would have succeeded with more time, although the decision of the Eagles to get rid of was at least justified, comfortably surviving under the tutelage of Roy Hodgson.
